The idea for this blog began when Matina and Francine, two lifelong friends met at Clark University. Their friendship began from the first cup of coffee they had together, which culminated in the planning of their first big party together. Throughout their years at Clark, together they planned and hosted many themed parties, celebrations and dinners for their friends.
Matina, once a graphic designer and an avid tennis player, is now injecting all her creativity into a blossoming marketing career. She lives in London, UK with her Colombian husband. Matina is always thinking about creating an experience at the dinner table that you will never forget. You can experience that through her artful photography skills. Obsessed with all things food related, Matina brings her Greek heritage, creativity, curiosity for new flavor combinations, and a love for hosting massive themed dinners to the table.
Francine, once an educator is an Occupational Therapy student with a passion for technology, health, and wellness living in sunny South Florida with her American-Israeli husband and energetic toddler. Francine worries more about flavor than presentation and really enjoys being challenged in her kitchen on a daily basis. Francine combines her exotic Colombian accent, with her earthy Mediterranean spice, and endless pursuit for freshness and healthiness to serve up amazing dishes to endlessly savor.
Matina and Francine came together to create Feta and Arepa, living oceans apart, and have decided to continue with their events by sharing in writing, their passion for cooking, eating, and entertaining, as they share with each other and the world the recipes they love.
